Week 1 Term 4 2025
From the Principal
Dear parents and carers,
Welcome to Term 4! Hoping everyone has enjoyed the holidays and is feeling refreshed and ready for the busy final quarter of the year. It’s hard to believe we have arrived here so quickly! A special welcome is extended to our 4 new families joining St Anne’s with children in Kindergarten, Year 1, Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9. We hope you will soon be feeling very much a part of the St Anne’s family.
Before we dive into Term 4, let us take a moment to reflect on the joyful experience of Showcase 2025 and acknowledge the incredible cooperation and enthusiasm on display in both the wonderful performances and the organization behind the scenes to make it all possible. I know you all join me in congratulating the students, teachers, staff and volunteers for all their much-valued contributions.
I would especially like to highlight the outstanding leadership of Mrs Sally Eberle in producing and directing showcase each year. This is a huge undertaking, and Sally leads with grace and good humour throughout. Another special mention goes to Mr Anthony Irvine who contributes his time and talent with generosity and a commitment to excellence.
Thank you parents, carers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, community members and ex-students for being such an outstanding, encouraging and appreciative audience!

And now onto Term 4….
Garden Viewing 2025
I am sure you join me in eagerly looking forward to the annual Garden Viewing on Sunday 26th October. I am very much looking forward to experiencing this famous (another!) St Anne’s event for the first time.
The gardeners and the committee have worked with dedication and great enthusiasm to give us a great day, and we look forward to a great day.

The Resilience Project
St Anne’s students have participated in The Resilience Project for the last 2 years as part of a broad initiative by the Temora Shire Council to support the youth of the Shire. We are grateful for the opportunity to participate and give our students tools to build resilience through gratitude, empathy and mindfulness.
Next week one of the Founders, Martin Heppell will be visiting Temora, and hosting a community event at the Town Hall on Thursday 23rd October at 6.00pm. Please see further details and the registration link later in this newsletter. This promises to be an informative, impactful and entertaining evening and St Anne’s families are encouraged to attend.
Primary students from across Temora will attend a presentation at the Town Hall earlier in the day; and we look forward to Martin and members of the TRP team visiting St Anne’s during the afternoon.
I am very sorry to be missing these events due to meetings in Canberra but look forward to feedback on the presentations and the visit.
IT Requirements for High School Students in 2026
High School parents and carers will have received a letter outlining the IT requirements for students in 2026. We regret not having been able to release this information earlier but do encourage families to make use of the portal for purchasing as we do believe Catholic Education have worked hard to source excellent products, fit for purpose at very competitive prices.
We will provide details of the portal as soon as this is released by CE.
Uniform
Thank you for ensuring the students have returned for term 4 looking neat and tidy in their Summer Uniform.
We would like to highlight the jewelry policy and remind students and parents that this will be enforced as part of the general expectations.

Thank you, Michael McCormack,
We were delighted to welcome Mr Michael McCormack, Member of the Australian House of representatives to St Anne’s on Tuesday. Mr McCormack took time out of his busy schedule to deliver certificates to the students for participating in the ANZAC Day writing competition and prizes to the students whose work was published.
Congratulations to Madison McCormack and Evelyn Tait and thank you to Mr McCormack for inspiring us all about the importance of ANZAC Day.

In Conclusion…
Term 4 is notoriously busy and action packed! Please keep up to date with happenings on Compass, the newsletter and Facebook. We look forward to meeting you at the upcoming community events.
We have a number of overnight trips planned this term with the first expedition, Year 3 and 4 departing to Borambola Sport and Recreation Centre on Monday morning. Please join me in wishing the students and teachers a safe and exciting trip.
Finally, we look forward to celebrating 100 years of the presbytery on Saturday evening. Please join us for Mass at 6.00pm. It is not too late to purchase a ticket to attend the Cocktail Party at the presbytery immediately after Mass.
Today the HSC commences, and we wish our 2025 cohort all the very best as they sit the exams, the final stage of their Stage 6 journey. Please remember the girls in your prayers over the next couple of weeks. We look forward to celebrating their graduation when the exams have concluded.
With best wishes,
Louise Grant
