What’s been happening in careers:

Year 11 and 12 students participated in a lighthearted and informative session by a visiting representative from the University of Wollongong. It was a great opportunity to consider university as an option, consider course choices, learn about Early Entry and gain insight into campus and uni life.

Recently four of our Year 10 students, Darcy, Jonte, Ethan and Jack participated in the Made For a Trade Program at Temora TAFE to gain a taste of a variety of trades including; plumbing, carpentry, welding, electrical and tiling. 

The Be a Health Hero program gave Ella in Year 11 a valuable opportunity to explore various health careers whilst participating in 4 days of workshops at Calvary and Wagga Base Hospitals and TAFE Wagga.

Build a Bridge…and get over it! Engineering Camp: Boorambola

Build a Bridge…& get over it! Engineering camp is an exciting 3 day career immersion camp.

The camp is an annual initiative designed to promote Civil Engineering careers to young people in Years 10, 11 & 12.

During the camp, participants will work in teams alongside current industry professionals and Civil Engineers from REROC Councils, Riverina Water, Goldenfields Water and Evolution Mining.  As a participant, students experience real-life hands-on experience with a range of Engineering activities, such as laser levels, compaction testing, soil sampling and testing and spatial coordinates. 

Camp will be held at Borambola Sport and Recreation Centre on Monday April 28 to Wednesday April 30, 2025..
