Principal's Welcome

Welcome to the 2024 school year at St Anne’s Catholic College, Temora. I begin 2024 with immense pride and gratitude as we embark on another academic year within the rich tapestry of our Josephite tradition. We begin the new school year under the banner of St Anne’s Catholic College. At the heart of our mission is a commitment to excellence, both in academics and behaviour, rooted in the values that define our Catholic identity. As Josephites, we believe in the transformative power of education to shape not only the minds but also the character of our students.

Academic excellence is not just a goal; it is an expectation. We challenge each student to strive for their personal best, recognising that each individual has unique gifts and talents to contribute to our community. Our dedicated staff members are here to guide and inspire, fostering a love for learning that goes beyond the classroom. Equally important is the emphasis we place on behaviour and values. In our pursuit of knowledge, we must remember the importance of compassion, respect, and empathy. These values are not just taught but lived within the walls of our school, creating a nurturing and inclusive environment for all. Our Josephite tradition calls us to be beacons of light, not only in our academic pursuits but also in our relationships and service to others.

As we navigate this academic year together, let us embrace the challenges and opportunities that come our way. Let us support and uplift one another, creating a community where each student feels valued, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.

We look forward to implementing The Resilience Project throughout the school this year and adopting the key principles of Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness.

The theme which will guide our journey in 2024 is asking our community to be “Courageous in their Faith”. I look forward to exploring this further with students and staff over the course of the year. Our school improvement goals include; Improving student achievement in English and Mathematics through the implementation of evidenced based practices and Strengthening our Catholic Identity at St Anne’s.

There is much to look forward to this year at St Anne’s, both inside and outside of school. I pray that our community has a safe and rewarding year.

God Bless,

Grant Haigh
